February Happenings

February is upon us. Hopefully mother nature will bless us with milder days and warmer temps. Only another month before spring arrives – but who are we trying to kid here? Wisconsin spring lasts a day or two here and there, then back to winter, back to spring, rinse and repeat! I’ll grasp at any light at the end of the tunnel.

We have a few more shows before our annual vacation in March. Tickets are bought, the house is reserved, our house sitter for Ms. Kitty Kat Diva is all arranged. Now all we have to do is wait! But before then, you can find us at the following shows:

TOMORROW – Saturday, February 17th – Appleton Winter Farmers Market. 9am to 12:30pm, inside at City Center, 100 N. Appleton Street. Winter veggies (radishes, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, etc.) fresh eggs, mushrooms, cheese curds, sauces and jams, dip mixes, etc. And there are these two young men with THE most AMAZING sweet empanadas on the planet! No joke! And of course, some artisans, like us!

February 24 & 25th – Madison Handweavers show at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3300 Atwood Avenue, Madison. Show hours are 10am to 4pm both days. Our booth is moved a bit this year; we’ll be in the center area, opposite the information desk instead of the large Commons room. Great artists here and a wide variety – wood, fiber arts (purses, scarves, clothing, etc.), painting, photography, jewelry, pottery, etc.

March 3rd & 4th – We’re back at Arti Gras at Shopko Hall, 1901 S. Oneida street, in Green Bay! View and purchase the works of 100 artisans from throughout the Midwest. Artist demonstrations take place throughout the event providing a rare view of artists and their work during the creative process. Outstanding performances are a highlight at the event including exciting classical music, powerful jazz, and magnificent dance. Children can get hands-on art experience through participation in a variety of creative art and music activities.

March 10 – A NEW show!! Art in the Burg, held at Cedarburg High School, W68 N611 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Show hours are 10am to 4pm. Enjoy shopping this juried art fair with displays from over 75 artists. Opportunity to bid on silent auction items donated by the artists (you need not be present to win). All funds raised benefit the Cedarburg High Fine Arts Boosters.
March 31st – Our last date at the Appleton Winter Farmers Market.

Mailing List
We’re starting a new e-mail mailing list. With the changes to Facebook algorithms, our followers are not seeing our posts about shows and new products. Our ultimate goal is to send out updates by e-mail no more than once a week, and probably much less than that! If you’d like to be added to the list, please let us know by sending us an email at sales@roundbarnwoodcrafts.com, please put “mailing list” in the subject line; messaging us on Facebook, or sending us a text message at 920-889-4944. We will NEVER share your name or e-mail address, and we promise not to inundate you with a flood of emails.
Have a great weekend everyone! And remember, you can’t oil your wooden cutting boards, utensils or knife handles too often.
